WORLD WAR 1 OVERVIEW
The Start of World War:
- World War 1 started because Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. The conflict between the countries soon started involving other countries as well including: Germany, Russia, Great Britain, and France. Those countries entered the war because they all had treaties that instructed them to protect each other if they went to war.
- During the first couple months of the war there were numerous attacks and troop movements began to spread. In the west Germany attacked Belgium first and later France. In the east, Russia attacked both Germany and Austria-Hungary. In the south Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia.
- The Battle of the Marne was the first battle fought in world war 1.
- The battle took place between September 5th 1914 to September 12th 1914.
- The battle had an affect on Germany because of their allies had intense strategies.

- Austria-Hungary, Belgium, Brazil, British Empire, Bulgaria, China, France, Greece.
- Italy, Liberia, Portugal, Romania, Russia, U.S. and some others as well.
